Location: Ramanathapuram District, near Kalaiyarkoil, Thiruvekampathu

On the walls of the sanctum in Thiruvekampathu Temple, dance posture (Karana) sculptures are seen. Over sixty sculptures depict men and women dancing individually, playing musical instruments, and performing in theatrical style.
Speciality: The term 'Nataraja' is found in inscriptions here for the first time. Earlier names included Koothadum Perumal, Aadhal Vallan, and Natteeswarar.

Location: Sivagangai District, near Manamadurai, Thuthai village
Period: 8th Century, Early Pandya Period
Durga standing with eight arms over a buffalo head. Right hands hold chakra, trident, sword, arrow, skull. Left hands hold conch, shield, and bow. She wears a heavy garment down to the knees.
Speciality: Unique feature – Durga holds a parrot along with the skull. This reflects the literary tradition of Kotravai depicted with a parrot.

The sculptures here are all finger-sized, very small yet rich in artistic elegance and historical narrative.
